The Dreamers
DramaRomance115 min
In 1968 Paris, American student Matthew (Michael Pitt) falls in with twins Isabelle and Theo, a film-obsessed brother and sister whose apartment becomes a closed world of games, dares, and shifting desire. Eva Green’s Isabelle and Louis Garrel’s Theo draw him deeper into their private routines as student protests gather in the streets outside. The film threads its erotic triangle through constant references to classic movies and French New Wave favorites, while the upheaval beyond the apartment keeps pressing in on all three.
