The Cost of Deception

ActionCrimeDramaFantasyThrillerWar125 min

In 2006 Hungary, a secret speech by Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsány leaks to the public and sets off a political crisis. As outrage spreads through the country, the fallout reaches from government offices to the streets, where protests and clashes expose how much is at stake behind the scenes. The film follows the scramble around the leak itself and the struggle to control its consequences, with competing interests trying to shape the story before events spin further out of reach. Framed as a thriller around a real political rupture, it turns a public scandal into a chain of pressure, suspicion, and escalating conflict.
