Piranha

ComedyHorrorSci-FiThriller94 min

A mountain river turns deadly when genetically altered piranhas escape into the water and begin moving downstream toward crowded recreation areas. What starts as an isolated threat quickly becomes a wider disaster as locals and vacationers near a summer resort head straight into the fish's path. Two people trying to stop it race to warn anyone they can, but the river keeps carrying the danger forward and officials are slow to grasp what is coming. As the attacks spread, the crisis points toward a man-made source instead of a natural one. Bradford Dillman and Heather Menzies are caught in the scramble to contain a threat already loose in the water.
