City Slickers

ComedyWestern114 min

Three New York businessmen sign up for a Wild West cattle drive, expecting a break from work and routine and finding themselves far outside their comfort zone once the trip heads into open country. Billy Crystal leads the trio, with Daniel Stern and Bruno Kirby as his equally unprepared friends, while Jack Palance’s hard-edged trail boss brings a very different idea of what the experience should be. As offices, commutes, and family pressures give way to horses, campfires, and a herd that has to keep moving, the movie pairs midlife frustration with dusty Southwestern mishaps and cowboy deadpan.
