Dragonslayer
ActionAdventureFantasy108 min
With a king bound to an old bargain that demands his daughter be sacrificed to a dragon, a sorcerer and his apprentice take on the task of killing the beast and ending the pact. Peter MacNicol is the young wizard thrust toward a fight far larger than himself, while Ralph Richardson's aging sorcerer stands at the center of a kingdom running on fear, ritual, and failing magic. In Matthew Robbins' 1981 fantasy, the dragon Vermithrax Pejorative looms over a bleak medieval world of caves, court bargains, and human sacrifice.
