Drama134 min
Nothing to Lose follows Brazilian evangelical bishop Edir Macedo as he pursues his religious calling, founds the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God, and runs into repeated turbulence while holding to his convictions. Petronio Gontijo is Edir Macedo in this authorized biopic, with Day Mesquita and Beth Goulart in the surrounding cast. The film traces Macedo’s path from self-made religious leader to owner of the Record TV network, staying close to the pressures and conflicts that build around his rise.
