My Friend Dahmer

CrimeDramaHorror107 min

In 1970s Ohio, teenage Jeffrey Dahmer is drifting through high school while his parents’ marriage collapses at home and his obsessions begin to sharpen. Ross Lynch is Dahmer before the murders that made him infamous: awkward, isolated, collecting roadkill and falling in with a group of classmates who turn his strange behavior into a running joke. Alex Wolff’s Derf is one of the boys caught in that orbit, while Anne Heche and Dallas Roberts bring the strain inside Dahmer’s family into view. The film stays in the uneasy stretch before graduation, as alienation and attention start to take a more dangerous shape.
