The Proposition

ActionAdventureCrimeDramaThrillerWestern104 min

In 1880s Australia, Guy Pearce is Charlie Burns, a captured outlaw offered an impossible bargain by a lawman played by Ray Winstone. To save his younger brother from the gallows, Charlie has nine days to track down and kill his older brother, who is wanted for rape and murder. The deal sends him deep into the Outback, across a scorched landscape where family loyalty, colonial justice, and revenge are bound up with sudden violence. Emily Watson is part of the small household trying to hold order together while Charlie rides toward a reckoning that leaves little room for mercy.
