After a public fall leaves him broke and disgraced, journalist Eddie Brock stumbles into a biotech operation hiding something not from Earth. He comes out infected by a living symbiote that wraps around his body, gives him violent new powers, and talks back with a mind of its own. As Eddie struggles to keep control, he learns the creature inside him is tied to a larger threat: others of its kind are moving toward Earth. Tom Hardy leads the story as a reporter forced into an uneasy partnership with the thing possessing him, while the fight shifts from survival to stopping an invasion before it begins.
