When nearly everyone on Earth blacks out for two minutes and seventeen seconds at the same moment, the disaster leaves wreckage across the globe and something even stranger in its wake: visions of life six months in the future. People who saw marriages, betrayals, successes, or deaths are forced to ask whether those glimpses are fixed fate or warnings they can still change. In Los Angeles, FBI agent Mark Benford, played by Joseph Fiennes, starts investigating what caused the blackout while trying to make sense of a future that threatens his family and his own choices. As different flashforwards begin to connect, the search for answers turns into a race against a date everyone now knows is coming.
