Amy

Documentary128 min

Amy Winehouse is at the center of this documentary, traced from her teenage years as a gifted London singer to sudden fame and the addiction that unraveled life around her. Using archival footage, performances, and audio that keeps Winehouse's own voice in the foreground, the film follows her rise as success gives way to alcoholism, drug use, and mounting pressure. Friends and people from her circle, including Tyler James and former manager Nick Shymansky, help sketch the world around her as her music career expands and her personal struggles deepen.
