In the Land of Blood and Honey

DramaRomanceWar127 min

During the Bosnian War, Ajla is taken to a camp overseen by Danijel, a Serb soldier she once knew before the fighting redrew every line between them. Zana Marjanović is Ajla, trapped in a relationship where past intimacy collides with captivity, while Goran Kostić’s Danijel occupies a shifting space between personal history and military authority. Written and directed by Angelina Jolie, the film keeps its focus on the rupture of wartime Bosnia, where neighbors are forced onto opposing sides and every encounter carries the pressure of loyalty, fear, and violence.
