A rocket test that sends wasps into space comes down in the African jungle, and the insects return enlarged by radiation and weightlessness, terrorizing everything in their path. Jim Davis is one of the astrobiologists who heads into the jungle to recover the experiment, while Barbara Turner joins the expedition as the search moves deeper into dangerous terrain. What begins as a scientific retrieval mission turns into a battle with giant wasps as wildlife scatters and the team tracks the fallout of its own experiment through the jungle.
