On the Road

ActionAdventureDramaRomance142 min

After his father’s death, aspiring New York writer Sal Paradise is pulled out of his grief by Dean Moriarty, a restless drifter whose appetite for movement and experience changes the course of Sal’s life. Sam Riley is Sal, while Garrett Hedlund’s Dean barrels in with Marylou (Kristen Stewart) at his side. As the three crisscross America, their road trips become a restless search for freedom beyond the conformity closing in around them. Jazz clubs, borrowed rooms, long drives, and chance encounters shape the shifting bond between Sal, Dean, and Marylou as they chase a life that feels less fixed and more immediate.
