R.I.P.D.

ActionAdventureComedyCrimeFantasySci-FiWestern96 min

After he’s killed, a police detective is recruited into the Rest in Peace Department, an undead law-enforcement unit charged with hunting spirits hiding among the living. Ryan Reynolds is the newly dead cop, still fixated on the man who murdered him, while Jeff Bridges’ veteran R.I.P.D. partner drags him into the rules and routine of his strange new job. Their case starts as a murder investigation and widens into something bigger, with disguised dead roaming Earth and the balance between the living and the afterlife starting to slip. The setup leans on buddy-cop clashes, supernatural sightings, and a bureaucratic spin on the world beyond the grave.
