Jack Shepard is an out-of-shape auto shop owner who used to save the world as the superhero Zoom. Pulled back into service by the government, Tim Allen is Jack, now tasked with turning a mismatched group of kids with unusual powers into a new team before an approaching threat wipes out any chance they have to prepare. Courteney Cox and Chevy Chase are part of the adult ensemble around the improvised academy, where training exercises, lab work, and comic-book heroics all have to come together fast. The story follows Jack’s reluctant return to a world he thought he’d left behind.
