The Informant!
ComedyCrimeDrama108 min
In the 1990s, ADM executive Mark Whitacre starts feeding the FBI evidence of a multinational price-fixing conspiracy inside his own company, even as he imagines whistleblowing will make him a hero and earn him a promotion. Matt Damon is Whitacre, a rising agri-business star whose enthusiasm for wires, tapes, and undercover meetings keeps colliding with his shifting stories. Scott Bakula’s FBI handler is among the agents trying to build a case while figuring out how much of their insider they can trust. Steven Soderbergh directs a fact-based story where corporate fraud and Whitacre’s self-invention keep tangling together.
