The Alabama Solution

Documentary117 min

When filmmakers enter an Alabama prison in 2019 to record a revival meeting, incarcerated men quietly tell them that violent deaths and abuse inside are being covered up. That warning opens a long investigation into one of America’s deadliest prison systems, built from direct access, interviews, and video shot on contraband cell phones. Voices including Raoul Poole and Robert Earl Council recount life inside as organizers push back against official accounts and try to expose what’s happening behind the walls.
