Drop Dead Gorgeous
ComedyRomanceThriller98 min
In a small Minnesota town, a local TV crew follows the Mount Rose American Teen Princess pageant as mishaps around the contestants start looking less and less accidental. Kirsten Dunst is Amber Atkins, a trailer-park teen who keeps smiling through exploding sheds, falling lights, and a contest that keeps getting nastier. Across the aisle is Kirstie Alley's Gladys Leeman, a former winner determined to see her own daughter take the crown, with the town's police giving the richest family a lot of room. The pageant-world polish sits side by side with deadpan interviews, civic boosterism, and a body count nobody seems eager to explain.
