Brigitte Bardot is Brigitte, the French premier’s daughter, who falls for her father’s aide Michel and tries to make a husband out of a man who won’t stop flirting. Henri Vidal’s Michel keeps chasing other women, and Brigitte retaliates by turning her attention to the married Prince Charles, with Charles Boyer in the role of the aristocrat pulled into the game. What starts as a romance becomes a contest of jealousy and pride, played out in the offices and drawing rooms of 1950s French political high society.
