Alone in a cramped apartment, a man becomes fixated on crushing a tiny, insect-like creature darting across the floor and walls. Jeremy Theobald is the increasingly frantic tenant, turning a chase with a shoe into a spiral of paranoia and distorted perception. Shot in black and white and directed by Christopher Nolan, the film keeps its focus tight: one room, one man, and one skittering target that seems to pull his waking mind toward something darker and less certain.
