Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker
ActionAdventureAnimationCrimeFamilyFantasySci-FiThriller77 min
The Joker’s sudden return throws Neo-Gotham into crisis, forcing teenage Batman Terry McGinnis to dig into secrets from Bruce Wayne’s past before he can take on Gotham’s most infamous villain. Will Friedle is Terry, the younger Dark Knight working under Kevin Conroy’s older, increasingly guarded Bruce, while Mark Hamill’s Joker resurfaces with the same manic edge and a new hold on the city. Tied to the world of Batman Beyond and the earlier animated Batman stories, the film pairs high-tech chases and futuristic Gotham design with a mystery about how an old enemy could be back at all.
