Bo Svenson’s Murdock is the only robber to get clear after a Los Angeles bank heist spills onto the rooftops, but his escape takes a turn when he dumps the stolen cash into a mailbox that won’t open again until the midnight pickup. Stuck near the drop and waiting out the hours, he realizes other people saw exactly where the money went. What follows is a street-level standoff over one locked mailbox, with police closing in and more hands reaching for a cut. Cybill Shepherd is part of the ensemble circling the buried loot.
