Vacation
ActionAdventureComedy99 min
Grown up and eager to recreate his happiest childhood trip, Ed Helms’s Rusty Griswold packs his wife and two sons into the car for a cross-country drive to Walley World. Christina Applegate is Debbie, meeting Rusty’s forced family bonding with a steadier read on the mounting trouble as bad stops, stranger run-ins, and long-simmering family friction pile up on the road. With the Griswolds heading from suburban routine toward America’s favorite theme park, the film follows the familiar plan of a family vacation that keeps veering further off course.
