Sharmajee Ki Beti

ComedyDrama115 min

Three women with the surname Sharma find their lives threaded together by urban loneliness, social pressure, and the expectations placed on them as they try to define themselves. Sakshi Tanwar, Divya Dutta, and Saiyami Kher lead an ensemble story that also makes room for two teenagers, Swati and Gurveen, whose passage through puberty is shaped by neglect at home. As the film moves between adult responsibilities and adolescent uncertainty, it keeps returning to the same fault lines: family dynamics, gender roles, tradition, and the private negotiations women make to hold onto their own ambitions.
