A washed-up former champion spots a young fighter with talent and sees one more shot at turning swagger into a comeback. He takes the boxer under his wing, pushing him through the rough mechanics of the sport while hustling for attention, money, and a path to the ring. What starts as a training partnership gets messier as romance, ego, and old habits keep cutting across the plan. Burt Reynolds anchors the story as the veteran charmer, trying to stay one step ahead of rivals and bad decisions while his prospect heads toward a bout that could change both their fortunes.
