American Mary

DramaHorrorThriller103 min

Short on tuition money and increasingly disillusioned with medical school, Mary Mason takes work that pulls her from sterile training labs into the underground world of body modification. Katharine Isabelle is Mary, a gifted student whose surgical skills suddenly have a market in back rooms and private appointments far outside the rules of her profession. As her reputation grows, the line between medicine, performance, and violence starts to blur, with the story moving through improvised clinics, extreme clients, and the uneasy business built around altered bodies.
