When Julia learns that her boyfriend Holt has joined a subculture built around a videotape said to kill its viewer in seven days, she watches it herself to save him and inherits the curse. Matilda Lutz is Julia, following a trail of hallucinations and hidden footage after she discovers the tape contains images no one has seen before. Alex Roe’s Holt is already tangled up in the legend, with Johnny Galecki and Vincent D’Onofrio turning up around Julia’s search for answers. The story folds the old VHS curse back into an investigation, where each new clue points deeper into the tape’s history.
