The Diplomat
DramaThriller132 min
John Abraham is J.P. Singh, the Deputy High Commissioner at the Indian High Commission in Islamabad. When a young woman (Sadia Khateeb) runs inside the mission claiming she was forced into marriage in Pakistan and wants to return to India, Singh is pulled into a case that quickly moves beyond routine consular work. As he tries to sort out her plea, the film threads together embassy procedure, political pressure, and the fragile calculations of India-Pakistan relations. The focus stays close to the negotiations and decisions inside official corridors, where one woman's request can turn into an international problem.
