When five freshmen with nothing in common end up in detention, they start a garage band that gives them a way to push back against the pressures of high school. Bridgit Mendler is Olivia, with Adam Hicks's Wen among the classmates who help turn the group into something bigger than an after-school outlet. As Olivia, Stella, Wen, Mohini and Charlie learn to rely on one another, the story moves through rehearsals, school assemblies and the everyday friction of teachers, rules and teenage expectations.
