The Imitation Game

DramaThrillerWar114 min

During World War II, mathematician Alan Turing is recruited to Britain’s secret codebreaking operation at Bletchley Park, where he joins a team racing to crack Germany’s Enigma machine before more lives are lost. Benedict Cumberbatch is Turing, brilliant, abrasive, and increasingly isolated inside a military bureaucracy that doesn’t know what to make of him. Alongside him, Keira Knightley’s Joan Clarke brings both mathematical skill and a steadier social touch to the work. Moving between classified wartime pressure and the scrutiny surrounding Turing’s private life, the film follows the push to turn logic and machinery into a weapon.
