Muralikant Petkar’s story begins with a soldier whose life is shattered by combat, then follows his stubborn return to competition through three different sports and an unrelenting pursuit of gold. Kartik Aaryan is Petkar, tracing the athlete’s path from military service and devastating injury — including nine bullet wounds — to the Paralympic stage. Directed by Kabir Khan, the film frames Petkar not just as a sports figure but as a national pioneer, charting the years of effort behind India’s first Paralympic gold medal and the long delay before that achievement was widely recognized at home.
