The Roommate

DramaHorrorThriller94 min

Starting college in Los Angeles, freshman Sara Matthews expects a clean break from home and an easy start with her new roommate. Instead, Rebecca quickly attaches herself to Sara’s life, inserting herself into friendships, routines, and every corner of the dorm room they share. What first looks like intense loyalty turns controlling as Sara grows closer to other people and tries to build a life outside the room. Small incidents begin to feel deliberate, private boundaries disappear, and the friendship turns into a trap. With Minka Kelly as Sara and Leighton Meester as Rebecca, the story follows an ordinary campus bond as it twists into a dangerous fixation.
