Kalifornia

CrimeDramaThriller118 min

Writer Brian Kessler is crossing the country with his photographer girlfriend, Carrie, gathering material for a book on famous murder sites. David Duchovny is Brian, whose carefully planned trip starts to unravel when the couple shares the ride with drifter Early Grayce and his girlfriend Adele. Brad Pitt’s Early brings a threatening edge to every motel stop, roadside bar, and gas station they pass, while Juliette Lewis gives Adele a wary, off-center presence. As Brian and Carrie head west toward California, they don’t realize the man in the car with them is committing the kind of violence they set out to document.
