The Honest Candidate
Comedy95 min
On the eve of a presidential election, a former idealist who has become a corrupt politician is hit with an unexpected curse from his grandmother: he can no longer lie. Adrián Uribe leads the comedy as a candidate suddenly trapped by his own honesty, with every speech and campaign stop turning into a liability. Mariana Seoane and Teresa Ruiz join the ensemble around a race shaped by image, corruption and public pressure, as the campaign barrels ahead with a man who can’t hide what he thinks or what he’s done.
