Chimo has just turned 18, but little about his life feels new: he comes from a humble, supportive family, works multiple jobs, dreams of starting his own business, and still runs into the bully who shadowed his childhood. Christian Checa is Chimo, carrying years of humiliation into a sudden chance for revenge against El Rubio. Hugo Welzel’s El Rubio is more than a memory, forcing old wounds into the present. As retaliation gives way to an unexpected bond, the film tracks a shifting relationship shaped by resentment, pride, loyalty, and the pull of a life neither of them imagined.
