Fist of Fury 1991
ActionAdventureComedy96 min
Lau Ching arrives in Hong Kong to find his cousin, but his unusually powerful right arm quickly steers him toward a $10 million fighting tournament. Stephen Chow is Ching, a mainland newcomer who falls for Mandy, a young martial artist, and winds up teaming with drifter Handsome (Kenny Bee) as he tries to find his footing in the city. With Mandy’s attention divided and rival fighter Wai standing in his way, Ching enters the ring hoping to win both the prize money and a chance with her. The film mixes martial-arts showdowns with Stephen Chow’s fast, goofy comic style.
