Shocker
ComedyHorrorThriller111 min
After a string of gruesome murders, young athlete Jonathan Parker starts seeing the killer in his dreams. When condemned murderer Horace Pinker (Mitch Pileggi) survives the electric chair by transforming into a force of electricity, Peter Berg’s Jonathan becomes the one person with a link to him. Michael Murphy’s Lt. Don Parker, the detective who helped capture Pinker, is pulled back into the chase as the killer moves through houses, televisions, and power lines to settle scores. Wes Craven’s 1989 film bends the slasher setup into something supernatural, with a wisecracking madman, family fallout, and violence that keeps escalating after the execution.
