The Trojan Horse
ActionAdventureDramaWar105 min
In the final year of the Trojan War, Steve Reeves is Aeneas, the warrior trying to hold Troy against the Greeks even as the city edges toward collapse. When the fighting turns and the Trojans are scattered, he gathers 600 survivors and leads them toward Italy in search of a future beyond the ruins. John Drew Barrymore’s Odysseus stands on the Greek side of the conflict, giving the mythic war a familiar rival. Drawn from the legends linking Troy to the origins of Rome, the film mixes battlefield spectacle with exile, sea travel, and the long aftermath of defeat.
