One Night in Miami...

Drama114 min

After Cassius Clay's upset win over Sonny Liston in 1964, the new heavyweight champion leaves the Miami Beach celebration and heads to a motel in one of the city's Black neighborhoods, where Malcolm X, Sam Cooke, and Jim Brown are waiting. In Regina King's fictionalized account of that night, Kingsley Ben-Adir is Malcolm X, pushing the conversation past victory and celebrity, while Leslie Odom Jr.'s Sam Cooke meets him with a star's polish and a sharp sense of business. With Aldis Hodge as Brown, the room fills with arguments about fame, faith, and the responsibilities that come with being seen in Jim Crow America.
