After finding her husband cheating, Sandy leaves the suburbs for New York City with her two children and tries to start over. Catherine Zeta-Jones is Sandy, newly separated and adjusting to city life when she meets Aram (Justin Bartha), a young man stung by a sham marriage of his own. When Sandy hires him as her nanny, their easy friendship starts to shift into something more complicated. The film follows their relationship as it grows inside an improvised family life, with the age gap, fresh divorces, and skeptical friends and relatives all pressing on whether this is a new beginning or a rebound.
