You're Not You

Drama104 min

Hilary Swank is Kate, an accomplished pianist whose life is upended by an ALS diagnosis. Needing full-time help, she hires Bec (Emmy Rossum), a drifting young woman with little direction and few boundaries. What begins as an uneasy caregiving arrangement turns personal fast, as Bec is drawn into Kate’s daily routines, her sharp standards, and the strain on her marriage to Evan (Josh Duhamel). The film centers on the friction and intimacy between two women from very different worlds as illness forces one to give up control and pushes the other to confront where she’s headed.
