A recently widowed father takes his two teenage daughters to a game reserve in South Africa, hoping for a trip that reconnects them to family history; instead, a rogue lion begins stalking them. Idris Elba is Dr. Nate Daniels, forced to protect his daughters while their guide, old family friend Martin Battles (Sharlto Copley), tries to get them clear of the reserve. What begins as a return to the place where Nate met his wife turns into a desperate attempt to stay alive in open brush, broken vehicles, and terrain with nowhere to hide.
