Hail, Caesar!

ComedyCrimeDramaMystery106 min

At a 1950s Hollywood studio, fixer Eddie Mannix has one crisis after another to contain—until the leading man of a Roman biblical epic vanishes in the middle of filming. Josh Brolin is Eddie, spending a single hectic day chasing a disappearance while juggling ransom demands, press headaches, and the fragile egos of movie stars. George Clooney is the missing idol at the center of the scramble, with the studio lot around him running on publicity, gossip, and constant damage control. Joel and Ethan Coen fold the mystery into a portrait of Golden Age Los Angeles and the machinery behind its polished screen image.
