Being Blanche Houellebecq
Comedy88 min
Michel Houellebecq heads to Guadeloupe for a look-alike contest built around his own image, with Blanche Gardin chairing the jury. What starts as a wry public event takes a sideways turn when unforeseen complications pull the pair into a bizarre intrigue. Houellebecq and Gardin appear as heightened versions of themselves, and the film leans into the oddity of celebrity, performance, and mistaken identity against a sunlit island backdrop. Vincent Volkoff and Jean-Pascal Zadi are part of the ensemble circling the contest and the trouble that follows.
