DramaRomance98 min
After the success of North by Northwest, Alfred Hitchcock decides his next film will be Psycho, an adaptation his studio refuses to finance. Anthony Hopkins is Hitchcock in 1959, gambling his own money on the production while the work begins to strain his marriage. Helen Mirren's Alma Reville is not just his wife but his closest creative partner, and her reservations about the film sharpen the tension between them. With Scarlett Johansson in the role of Janet Leigh, the story follows the making of Psycho through the couple at the center of it.
