In Joseon-era Korea, Lee Jun-ho is Heo Saek, a young man who enters a profession reserved for women and becomes the dynasty’s first male gisaeng. Admired for his looks, wit, and polished manners, he draws attention from women across society while treating romance as part performance, part business. That outlook starts to shift when he meets Jung So-min’s Hae-won, an outspoken woman whose ideas about love and marriage sit well outside the expectations of her time. The setup turns courtship, class rules, and gender convention into the center of a period romance with a comic streak.
