Captain Colter Stevens wakes up in a stranger’s body on a Chicago commuter train and learns he’s been dropped into an experimental program that sends him back into the final eight minutes before a bombing. Jake Gyllenhaal is Colter, a decorated soldier forced to scan fellow passengers for the attacker while piecing together why he’s there at all. Across from him on the train, Michelle Monaghan’s Christina becomes both a clue and a human connection; offsite, Vera Farmiga’s military officer guides the mission from a sealed command room. Each return to the train narrows the suspect list and raises new questions about the technology keeping him there.
