This Is the Night

ComedyRomance80 min

A restless wife slips away from her fussy husband and heads for the Riviera, where a flirtation turns into a tangle of disguises, jealous pursuits, and mixed-up hotel-room arrangements. As one couple tries to hide an affair and another tries to expose it, every attempt at secrecy only creates a bigger farce. Lili Damita is at the center of the confusion as the chase moves through bedrooms, balconies, and late-night misunderstandings, while Cary Grant appears as one more complication in a house full of them. What begins as a romantic escape quickly becomes a battle of wits between lovers, spouses, and anyone caught in the middle.
