The Beach Bum

ComedyDrama95 min

Matthew McConaughey is Moondog, a stoner poet roaming the Florida Keys with no interest in ordinary responsibility. As he bounces between boats, bars, and family obligations, Moondog tries to finish a long-delayed novel while holding on to his daughter’s respect and the life he’s built on impulse. Isla Fisher and Snoop Dogg move through Harmony Korine’s loose, beachside world of weddings, drifting friendships, and chemically fogged detours, where Moondog keeps slipping past consequences and into another scheme, another party, or another half-finished page.
